Alan Berman, MD Named Medical Director
of New Desert Canyon Rehabilitation Hospital
LAS VEGAS, NV – Alan Berman, MD has been named Medical Director of Desert Canyon Rehabilitation Hospital, which will open in the Spring of 2007. The new facility, which will specialize in restorative physical medicine, is presently under construction in southwest Las Vegas at I-215 and Russell Road.
Dr. Berman specializes in physiatry, the practice of physical and rehabilitative medicine. Dr. Berman comes to Las Vegas from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, where he was the Medical Director of Rehabilitation Medicine. His past professional experience as medical director also includes other Kansas-based facilities including Truman Medical Centers, Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital, St. Luke’s South Hospital, Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospital, and Kindred Hospital, among others. He also has served as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.
Dr. Berman received his medical degree and completed a residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
