Michael D. Mericle Named Director of Rehabilitation
At Desert Canyon Rehabilitation Hospital
LAS VEGAS, NV –Michael D. Mericle has been named Director of Rehabilitation at Desert Canyon Rehabilitation Hospital, which will open in the Spring of 2007. The new facility is presently under construction in southwest Las Vegas at I-215 and Russell Road.
Mr. Mericle most recently was the Director of Rehabilitation Services for Lodi Memorial Hospital, Lodi, California, where he was responsible for all operations of both inpatient and outpatient physical rehabilitation services in four facilities. His therapy management expertise includes nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, recreational therapy, cardiac rehabilitation (all phases), fitness, aquatic therapy, acute and sub-acute physical rehabilitation, skilled nursing care/transitional care and home health.
His past professional experience includes Regional Vice President for Eagle Rehab Corporation/Horizon/CMS Healthcare Corporations in Chicago, Illinois, and Vice President of Operations, Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Vice President at The Bellevue Hospital, Bellevue, Ohio. Mericle is also an entrepreneur having owned and operated his own successful outpatient physical therapy clinic, which he later sold.
Mericle holds a Bachelor of Science from Ohio State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Ashland University in Ohio. He is presently a Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Nevada.
